This Week ...

Halloween, a broken oven, 2 cars that were in for repairs, and a house full of sick people, it was an interesting week. Halloween was fun, Abbey was a Ladybug, Noah was a Werewolf, I was a Clown and well Michael was Michael.

Every year I try to make something gross looking for the kids to eat. Abbey thinks it's fun and Noah usually gets nauseous. This year for breakfast I made green zombie fingers oozing blood, with a side of brains and toast.

I still can't believe there was snow on the ground on Halloween!

Not everything was bad this week, my washer was fixed and should last me a long time. Yeah, no more laundy mat!

I created 2 new cards at the request of a fabulous customer and they came out beautifully.

We also had a house guest. While I was cleaning up the yard from the snowstorm I spotted this Monarch laying on the back porch. He was barely moving so I brought him inside and set him on a couple of zinnias I had in a vase. I don't think he got the memo about the snow. He lived a couple of days in the house. Unfortunately he did not make it to Mexico.

I love October but this year I am glad it's over. The ending was definitely scary and I am happy its November.

MMM ...Monday, Halloween Treats ...

I love Halloween, it’s my favorite holiday. Every year I try to make it special for the kiddies. Here are some of my favorite things from this Halloween!!!

My blue wig!!! I wore it all weekend. I wish I had blue hair!





Noah’s first scary costume!!! He has wanted to be something scary for the last couple of years and this year I finally gave in. I bought his mask at Wal-Mart, stained it brown, and attached moss and a spider to it. His flashy clothes were bought at the Salvation Army. I tore the pants jacket and tie, stained everything with brown paint, glued leaves, moss, spider webs and spiders all over his clothes. I think he looked awesome.

Noah carved his first pumpkin!!! He did a great job.

Five Little Pumpkins …

Today I shipped out my “Five Little Pumpkins” painting. I have to confess I am a little sad to see it go. It was a lot of fun to create. The painting was based on the children’s poem, Five Little Pumpkins.

When I was in kindergarten I heard the poem and so did Noah. I love the poem, it’s adorable, fun, and it puts a smile on my face.

Five little pumpkins sitting on a gate;

The first one said, “Oh my it’s getting late.”

The second on said, “ There are witches in the air.”

The third one said, “ But I don’t care”.

The fourth one said, “ Let’s run and run”.

The fifth one said, “ I’m ready for some fun.”

“Wooooo” went the wind, and out went the lights, and the five little pumpkins rolled out of sight.
